The end, hook-type connection is interposed between the arm (6) and blade (1) of a car windscreen wiper. The hook has a central brace (10) and a lateral brace (21) which are positioned either side of the curved mid part of the hook when locked inside the arm end (7). The distance between the two stays is equal to the thickness of the hook end of the arm. Two flanges (8) and the central stay (10) limit a cylindrical housing to receive the blade pivot (3).
