PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking appliance for preventing a breaker from being interrupted in the case that the cooking appliance is simultaneously used with another electric device having no communication function of power information.SOLUTION: A cooking appliance 10 includes an input terminal 101, a cooking unit 10a for consuming first power according to a corresponding cooking mode among a plurality of cooking modes having different power consumption to cook a cooking object, an output terminal 102 configured so as to have an external device 2 connected, an output power monitoring unit 18 for monitoring second power outputted to the external device 2 from the output terminal 102, and a control unit 17 for receiving information on the second power from the output power monitoring unit 18, and selecting a corresponding cooking mode among the plurality of cooking modes. The control unit 17 determines a cooking mode in which a total value of the first power and the second power does not exceed a preset upper limit value as the corresponding cooking mode among the plurality of cooking modes, and sets the cooking unit 10a in the corresponding cooking mode. |
