摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large flow rate measurement apparatus capable of precisely measuring a large flow rate with a simple configuration and a small power consumption.SOLUTION: The large flow rate measurement apparatus includes: plural branching paths 4 disposed between the a flow-in port 2 and a flow-out port 3 of a flow channel 1; a measuring unit 5 that measures an individual flow rate qm of the branching path; a flow rate calculation unit 7 that calculates individual total flow rate Qm of the fluid to be measured flowing the flow channel 1 based on the individual flow rate qm measured by the measuring unit; and a failure detection unit 8 that detects a failure of the measuring unit. The flow rate calculation unit 7 is configured to calculate individual total flow rate Qm flowing the flow channel 1 from the individual flow rate of the branching path 4 for each branching path 4 and average the same to calculate the total flow rate Q of the flow channel 1. The large flow rate measurement apparatus is configured so that, when a failure occurs on any of measuring units 5 in a branching path 4, the measuring unit 5 is reset and to calculate total flow rate Q flowing the flow channel 1 based on individual flow rate qm measured by a measuring unit 5 other than the measuring unit 5. With this, a precise measurement of a large flow rate can be achieved.
