PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance detection device capable of detecting specific components from biogas collected from the skin.SOLUTION: A substance detection device 1 includes: a detection sample collection section 10 for collecting biogas to be discharged from the skin of a person, transmitting only the biogas through a transmission film, and storing the biogas in a sensor chamber 14; a light source 100 for exciting Raman scattered light of acetone in the collected biogas; a sensor section 31 for reinforcing the Raman scattered light by localized surface plasmon resonance; a spectrometer 60 for spectrally diffracting the reinforced Raman scattered light; a light reception element 70 for converting the spectrally diffracted light into an electric signal, and acquiring a spectrum of the reinforced Raman scattered light; a signal processing control circuit section 80 for collating the acquired spectrum with a preliminarily stored fingerprint spectrum of acetone to identify acetone as a collected substance to be detected, and calculating the amount of fat burning having a correlation relationship with acetone concentration; and a display section 130 for displaying a result calculated by the signal processing control circuit section 80. |
