PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, during rotation of a brake disc together with a rotation shaft, a wear amount of a friction ring plate provided in the brake disc by driving an exciting coil.SOLUTION: A brake structure for an electric motor and a brake operation method for the brake structure in which one of a first and a second friction ring plates (11,12) located on opposite sides of a brake disc (9) is set to be larger in the plane area or the thickness, or the plane area and the thickness than the other, suppressing idling wear of the one friction ring plate (11 or 12) during rotation of the motor. |
