PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device controlling engagement and disengagement of a two-way clutch by an electromagnetic clutch, the device improved in assemblability of an elastic member urging a pair of rollers facing each other to directions opposite to each other.SOLUTION: A pocket 27 is formed between adjacent pillars 22 and 26, a pair of rollers 15 is incorporated in the pocket 27, an elastic member 20 is incorporated in between the rollers 15, and the pair of rollers 15 are displaced to a disengagement position by being pressed by the pillars 22 and 26 by relative rotation of a control retainer 16A and a rotation retainer 16B. A spring supporting piece 37 preventing radial outward movement of the elastic member 20 is provided in an outer periphery of a spring holder 33 fitted to an input shaft 1 and abutted on an axial end face of an inner ring 13. The spring supporting piece 37 is axially extended while keeping a parallel state with an outer periphery of an inner ring 13, so as to have a plate piece shape projecting to an outer circumference of the elastic member 20, and the elastic member 20 is incorporated from an opening formed between a tip end of the spring supporting piece 37 and an outer periphery of the inner ring 13. |
