GEL ELECTROLYTE CAPACITOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress leakage of an electrolyte in a capacitor.SOLUTION: This capacitor uses a gel electrolyte as a dielectric and, in the gel electrolyte, an electrolyte solution is held in a polymer gel made by integrating particles of an organic-inorganic composite gel. The organic-inorganic composite gel has a three-dimensional mesh structure formed by crosslinking of a polymer of a gel polymerizable unsaturated group containing water soluble organic monomer and a water-swelling clay mineral. A polymer gel dispersed liquid made of particles of the organic-inorganic composite gel or a material formed like slurry is prepared, the polymer gel dispersed liquid is applied onto an element composing material and dried, and an electrolyte solution is impregnated in the element composing material to manufacture a gel electrolyte capacitor.
