The invention relates to an axle drive system for a motor vehicle, comprising a dynamo electric drive machine (1), a switchable superposition transmission comprising a first and a second transmission step (3, 4), a switch actuator (5) for switching the superposition transmission and a transfer transmission (8) which ensures the transmission of two output shafts (10, 12). A drive machine (1), transfer shafts (9, 11), output shafts (10, 12) and a dynamo electric drive machine (1) are arranged coaxially to each other and perpendicular to the direction of travel of the motor vehicle. In order to obtain an axle drive system which has a particularly compact structure, the switch actuator (5) comprising an electric motor (14) for actuation is arranged in the its totality in a mounting chamber which, in the axial direction of the drive system, is defined on one side by the first (3) and on the other side by the second transmission step (4). |
