PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism for maintaining the reduced volume of a used packing box during the operation of pressing the packing box into a flat form.SOLUTION: A packing box 100 for housing retort pouch food has a first slit 40 linearly extending in the vertical direction at a lower lateral edge of a front surface 2 of the packing box 100, and a nonlinear second slit 42 corresponding to the first slit 40 is formed in a rear surface 4. A lip 44, which is formed by digging a thumb's nail into the second slit 42 during the process of flattening the packing box 100 after use in the front and rear directions with hands, passes through the first slit 40, and maintains the flat state in which the front surface 2 and the rear surface 4 lie on top of each other. |
