PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably configure a manufacturing apparatus and method of a crown gear by skiving.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus: includes a workpiece support part 10 which supports the workpiece 1 rotatably around a first shaft center axis P1, a cutter support part 20 which supports a cutter 5 rotatably around a second shaft center axis P2, and a move part 30 which moves the cutter 5 along a reference line L passing the first shaft center axis P1; and includes a configuration of inclining the second shaft center axis P2 relative to a reference plane S in an attitude orthogonal to the first shaft center axis P1, bringing a cutting edge 5A of the cutter 5 into contact with an off-set position out of the reference line L, synchronously driving the workpiece 1 and the cutter 5, and moving the cutter 5 along the reference line L. |
