Provided are a sensor node device and a system thereof for tracking a movement path by identifying the characteristics of a moving object. The sensor node device of the present invention includes: a distance measurement part for measuring a distance of an object; an object judgment part for judging the shape of the object; and a communication part for transmitting data measured in the distance measurement part and the object judgment part to the outside through a communication net. The object judgment part includes at least two infrared ray sensors arranged up and down and at least two Fresnel lenses installed up and down. According to the present invention, the sensor node device can identify and track an object by a simple configuration so that the device can reduce system realization and maintenance costs. Also, with simple configuration, object tracking accuracy can be increased by being able to identify an object like a pet dog not requiring tracking.
