PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that can produce an anionic surfactant composition in which flowability is excellent, and odor is improved and that contains a propylene oxide addition type alkyl or alkenyl ether sulfate ester salt.SOLUTION: A production method of an anionic surfactant composition containing an alkyl or alkenyl ether sulfate ester salt includes: a step (A) in which raw material mixture containing a specific alcohol compound, a specific catalyst compound, and water whose content in the raw material mixture is at least 0.2% by mass and at most 0.8% by mass is added with propylene oxide to obtain a reaction product; a step (B) in which the reaction product obtained by the step (A) is sulfated; and a step (C) in which the sulfate obtained by the step (B) is neutralized. |
