A scanning IC is provided with a switch circuit and a logical circuit. The switch circuit includes first and second transistors and a level shift circuit. First and second control signals which change to logic ''1'' and logic ''0'' are given to an input terminal of the logical circuit. The logical circuit gives a third control signal to the first transistor based on the given first and second control signals, and gives a fourth control signal to the second transistor. A detection circuit is connected to the input terminal of the logical circuit. An abnormality of the scanning IC is detected by the detection circuit.
