<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selection apparatus, capable of selecting channel while being sufficiently reflected with viewer's preference, even if there is no information indicating that a channel is selected in a time zone corresponding to the time of powering-on. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller 50 (channel selection apparatus) includes a storage section 62 for storing a viewing frequency of a channel selected; and a control section 61, in which when the storage section 62 stores information indicating that a channel is selected in a predetermined time zone, corresponding to the time at which a power button 51 is turned on, a channel having the highest viewing frequency of the channels selected from among the predetermined time zones is selected; and when the storage section 62 does not store the information indicating that a channel is selected in the predetermined time zone, a channel is selected which has the highest viewing frequency of the channels selected in time zones, over a predetermined range wider than the predetermined time zone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
