<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that performs proper shading correction depending or not depending on a horizontal transfer position, without requiring memories corresponding in number to the number of modes, such as decimation mode and cropping mode. <P>SOLUTION: In the image pickup device, pixels that photoelectrically convert light to an electric signal are arranged in the vertical and horizontal directions, and image pickup elements vertically and horizontally transferring signals from the pixels by drive pulses and outputting the signals are provided, to correct the shading of an image signal of the image pickup elements. The image pickup device performs first shading correction for correcting the shading depending on the horizontal transfer position in a vertically transfer period, and second shading correction for correcting the shading not depending on the horizontal transfer position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
