PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic signature device which can reduce a workload in newly issuing an electronic certificate used for electronically signing a content, perform unitary management of newly issuing processing of a plurality of electronic certificates and newly issued electronic certificates, and prevent unintended expiration of electronic certificates.SOLUTION: An electronic signature device receives definition information on an electronic certificate to be newly issued with a certificate issue request for the electronic certificate, and registers the definition information on the electronic certificate to be newly issued on the basis of the certificate issue request. The electronic signature device transmits the certificate issue request to a certification authority with a period obtained by adding a grace period to a predetermined update management period of the new electronic certificate specified as a valid period of the electronic certificate on the basis of the definition information on the electronic certificate; and receives data on the newly issued electronic certificate from the certification authority. The electronic signature device registers issued certificate information including the data on the newly issued electronic certificate received from the certification authority and data on an update scheduled date of the electronic certificate. |
