PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a discontinuous part between applied gains by damping the change rate of the gain, applied to an input digital voice signal during a holding period, toward a change rate applied in a release period. SOLUTION: A holding timer 140 is triggered by a comparing circuit 150 for detecting the drop of the gain control value applied to an input digiyal voice signal. The speed of counting from zero to one is set by the hold control value. The release control value is deformed by a multiplying circuit 130. The release control value sent to a maximum detecting circuit 100 and used for the computation of the gain control value-release control value changes from zero to the value, determined by a control circuit, over the action period of the timer 140. This means that the change rate of the gain control value in a decrease state of the condensation is changed from zero to a rate assigned by the release control value. |
