PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of generating a 3D model having high-quality texture with respect to an image including an unknown material.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for restoring a three-dimensional shape of a subject from images captured from a plurality of view points comprises: division means for dividing a surface of a three-dimensional model for estimating the three-dimensional shape into a plurality of partial areas; acquisition means for acquiring images having different view points corresponding to each of the plurality of partial areas; model generation means for generating a reflection model from photographing angles and a change in luminance component of the respective partial areas; and image generation means for generating a texture image from which an influence due to mirror reflection is removed. |
