Non-return valve devices for internal combustion engines are known, having a duct housing (12), a valve housing (14), which has at least one aperture (24) forming a flow cross-section and is disposed in the duct housing (12), at least one valve seat (25), which surrounds the flow cross-section, and at least one valve closure member, via which the flow cross-section can be closed or opened and which is formed as a leaf spring (28). In order to avoid pressure losses and to be able to increase flow rates, the invention provides that the duct housing (12) and/or an insert element (52) extend in the region outside the valve housing (14) immediately upstream of the downstream end (44) of each aperture (24) over the whole width of the valve housing (14) spaced apart in such a way from each leaf spring (28) in the opened state that the free cross-section in the duct housing (12) immediately upstream of the downstream end (44) of each aperture (24) outside the valve housing (14) corresponds at most to the sum of twice each maximum opening width (34) between each leaf spring (28) and the associated valve seat (25). |
