PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-bit D/A converter which is improved in the linearity of an analog output to a digital input. SOLUTION: A switch control circuit 1 turns on the number of switches corresponding to a digital signal DIG among switches S1 to SM in the increasing order determined by a start position determining circuit 3, and turns off other switches. The start position determining circuit 3 determines the selected start position by changing a switch at the start position to S1, S3, S5... each time the digital signal DIG obtained in synchronism with the clock signal CLK is inputted. Consequently, characteristic differences of individual current sources become less liable to appear.
