PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplification device of high efficiency and low distortion by providing a means for compensating the amplitude distortion and phase distortion of an amplifier. SOLUTION: The amplification device includes: a high-frequency power amplifier 7 for amplifying modulated wave input signals; a first envelope detector 3 for detecting an envelope signal from the modulated wave input signals; an output signal detection means 100 for detecting the output signals of the high-frequency power amplifier; a second envelope detector 101 for detecting an envelope signal from the output of the output signal detection means; a comparator 12 for comparing first and second envelope detection output and detecting an error; a delta modulator 40 for delta-modulating error signals from the comparator; a switching amplifier 5 for amplifying the output of the delta modulator; and a low-pass filter 6 for band-limiting the output of the switching amplifier. The high-frequency power amplifier 7 amplifies the modulated wave input signals with the output of the low-pass filter 6 as a power supply voltage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
