The system includes a control unit, which responds to at least one operating characteristic signal, for producing a first change over command signal and a second changeover command signal. A unit is provided, which responds to the first and the second changeover operation signal, and which is coupled with the switching unit, for the control of the current through the winding, according to a first determined profile, during a first section of the inactive interval and for the allowability, that the current naturally fades, during a second section of the inactive interval, which follows the first section.
