<p>Provided is an optical fiber head capable of fixing an optical fiber with a simple structure and high precision by determining the location thereof regarding a case body, securing a sufficient supporting force of the case body for the optical fiber and being easily manufactured with small costs. The optical fiber head (1A) comprises an optical fiber (10), a lens (30) and a case body (20) for containing and supporting the optical fiber (10) and the lens (30). The case body (20) has a caulking part (22) for supporting the optical fiber (10) contained therein with a plastic deformed portion along the axis direction so that the diameter thereof can be substantially consistently reduced in the circumference direction, and the optical fiber (10) supported by the caulking part (22) has a coating material (13) for coating a core wire. The caulking part (22) is arranged on the rear end side of the case body (20) while having the distance from the part in which the tip end surface (10a) of the optical fiber (10) is located along the axis direction of the case body (20).</p> |
