PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a monitor system which controls a network load and allows information to be checked or apparatus to be set over a network, using a general-purpose computer. SOLUTION: The monitor system for monitoring a monitoring area comprises a plurality of apparatus having Web server functions disposed in the monitoring area, a memory provided in the monitoring area, a local server provided in the monitoring area having Web server functions for accessing Web servers of the apparatus provided in the monitoring area to acquire information and recording the information in the memory, and a monitor terminal for accessing a Web server of the local server with use of a general-purpose browser to acquire information or information recorded in the memory.
