The device (10) has a glove (11) threaded onto a hand of an operator, where glove is arranged with an ultrasonic sensor and a vibrator (31) on two opposite faces, respectively. The vibrator is arranged to generate artificial vibration to be felt by the operator in presence of a gas leak detected by the ultrasonic sensor. The vibrator comprises a mechanical sensitive element. A box is arranged to be held in the hand of an operator, where the box is carried with the ultrasound sensor on faces of the vibrator.
