PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage bench also used as a guard fence, which enables a speed of a seating part to be easily set approximately constant when the seating part is automatically returned to a raised state as a normal state from a horizontal state in use, and which enables an urging force to be easily adjusted even if the urging force is decreased. SOLUTION: Even if the urging forces of respective urging means for automatically returning the seating part 2 to the normal state from a use state are different from one another, the urging forces of the urging means can be easily set approximately constant only by loosening an adjusting screw 9 for locking one end of the urging means, when the urging force of the urging means is too strong, and performing the tightening adjustment of the adjusting screw when the urging force of the urging means is too weak. Furthermore, even if the urging force of the urging means is decreased because the storage bench 10 also used as the guard fence is repeatedly used, the urging force of the urging means can be adjusted without the disassembly of the storage bench 10.
