<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector apparatus capable of effectively cooling devices at high cooling efficiency, and thus capable of preventing problems such as noise and insufficient cooling due to the installed positions of the devices in a housing. <P>SOLUTION: The projector apparatus comprises a lamp device for feeding an optical engine with an illuminating light, a power source device, a ballast, and a box-type casing for housing the lamp device, the power source device and the ballast. The projector apparatus further comprises an intake/exhaust opening portion including at least an intake opening (as will be called the "opposed intake port") and an exhaust opening (as will be called the "opposed exhaust port") formed individually in the opposed two faces (as will be called the "opposed faces") of the casing, and one cooling fan disposed in one of the opposed intake port and the opposed exhaust port. In the cooling flow, in which the air sucked from the opposed intake port is caused by the cooling fan to flow straight as a whole in the casing until it is discharged from the opposed exhaust port, the lamp device, the power source device and the ballast are arranged at such positions that they do not overlap one another longitudinally with respect to the cooling flow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
