The present invention relates to a method for measuring the expression degree of hBD-3 genes to provide necessary information for the diagnosis of vaginitis, and a kit for diagnosing vaginitis including an antibody against hBD-3 genes or a primer or probe related to hBD-3 genes. The present invention is based on the discovery of the relation between the increases of expression degree of hBD-3 genes in epithelial tissues of the vagina and the occurrence of vaginitis. According to the method of the present invention, a user can provide reliable information regarding the diagnosis of vaginitis using large amount of samples through a cheap and simple molecular biological detection method.
