A method and device for centralized storage of photographs relate to the field of IP networks. The method comprises: an intelligent terminal performing the steps of: obtaining the MAC address of the intelligent terminal and using same as the source MAC address of a photograph file of the intelligent terminal; packing the photograph file and the source MAC address to obtain a data packet containing the photograph file and the source MAC address; and uploading to a storage device of a photograph file set the data packet containing the photograph file and the source MAC address through a wired or wireless network. A photograph which this terminal uploads to a centralized storage serving device is found from the intelligent terminal through the MAC address, thereby being able to display same to a user more intelligently, and being simple and practical. |
