Disclosed is a short message sending method. The method comprises: when a short message to which the other party must be reminded to reply is packaged, adding a reply reminding identifier in the packet header of a short message data packet which bears the short message, and sending the short message data packet. Also disclosed at the same time are a short message receiving method and a mobile terminal for achieving the short message sending and receiving methods. The methods and mobile terminal of the present invention are applied to enrich short message receiving and sending manners, can send a short message requiring to remind the other party to reply, and can remind a user to reply to the short message at the same time, thereby facilitating the short message communication between users, and enhancing the service experience when using the mobile terminal. |
