PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for generating a shaft contribution model (SCM) which may include a real-time gas turbine system model, a bottoming cycle performance (BCP) model and another load model.SOLUTION: A system includes a gas turbine system model configured to model a turbine system operational behavior of a gas turbine system, and a shaft contribution model (SCM) including a bottoming cycle performance (BCP) model configured to model a bottoming cycle behavior of a bottoming cycle system. The gas turbine system model is configured to receive an SCM output from the SCM and to use the SCM output to control an actuator. The actuator is operatively coupled to the gas turbine system.
