Racquets.-A metal racquet for tennis and like :games has a screwed detachable handle, a protecting strip round the frame, and an inlay of felt or other material to protect the wires where they pass through the frame. The goose neck 2 of the channel sectioned frame, ends in a hollow threaded nipple 3 on which screws the hollow handle 4, locking being obtained by friction between the two conical surfaces 6, 7. A strip of aluminium 10 passes round the channel-sectioned frame and is detachably secured by screws 11. The wires 8 are protected by felt or other material 9 from the edges of the holes of the frame.</p> |
