The present invention describes a material made of iron and steel byproducts or residues (dust resulting from the cleaning, collection and/or depuration systems of gases from iron and steel furnaces intended to manufacture liquid iron and steel), which is mixed with silica sand and lime, in ratios that depend on the chemical composition of the byproduct, for obtaining a material with refractory and anti-adherent characteristics. This material is applied as powder or humid mixture in the metallic surface of the container or equipment (called thermo cart), which receives and transports the pig iron (dirty liquid iron obtained of high furnace) to subsequent processes, with the purpose of avoiding or reducing the pig iron and dross adherence to said equipments, increasing the useful life thereof, also consuming material of the process itself, saving in affordable materials unlike current refractory systems. |
