Indicating maximum movements.-An electric maximum-demand indicating instrument is provided with a freely movable float having a loose connection with the maximum-demand pointer in order to prevent the pointer from wandering. The device may be constructed as an attachment for existing cover-plates. In one arrangement, Fig. 2, the float n is contained in a liquid-filled chamber d, the float rod k being carried by the spindle f of the maximum demand indicator i and passing freely through the float. A plate or pair of arms l is engaged frictionally by a disc or cup member o for setting purposes. In a modification, Fig. 4, the float comprises an open-ended vessel constructed so that the rod k does not come in contact with the liquid during its movement. |
