The present invention relates to a separation film capable of absorbing metal ions, a secondary battery containing the same, and a manufacturing method of such a separation film. An embodiment of the present invention provides a separation film which includes a porous base material with pores and a porous coating layer, wherein the porous coating layer is formed on at least one surface of the porous base material and in at least one type of region among the pores; and contains filler particles and binder polymers which are placed at a part of or at the entire filler particles and connect and fix the filler particles together. The filler particle contains a carbon-based material capable of absorbing metal ions and a cross-linked polymer capable of being cracked or decomposed above 100°C. For the separation film in accordance with the present invention, the filler particles in the separation film coating layer are inactive within a range of normal battery operation temperatures, but absorb excessive metal ions in a battery when in a range exceeding the operation temperatures, and therefore, the safety of the battery can be maintained. |
