PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain communication between a camera and a lens in response to a periodic change of a vertical synchronization signal.SOLUTION: An interchangeable lens 1 is mounted into a camera body 9 and they both perform interactive communication via a contact unit 8. An imaging element 10 converts photoelectrically a subject image into an electric signal and outputs an imaging signal. A camera control part 11 communicates with a lens control part 5 of the interchangeable lens 1 in response to the vertical synchronization signal synchronizing with an exposure timing of the imaging element 10. When a frame rate is changed, the camera control part 11 measures a time in response to the post-changed frame rate and controls the communication with the lens control part 5 on the basis of a measurement result. When period of the vertical synchronization signal is different from communication period, the camera control part 11 notifies the lens control part 5 of information relating to a difference in the period. When the lens control part 5 is notified that the period of the vertical synchronization signal is different from set communication period from the camera control part 11, the lens control part 5 nullifies reception information relating to a focus adjustment operation and limits a drive control of an optical member. |
