Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of communications, and provide a method for registering to a database, a terminal, an access point, a database, and a communication system, which can enable a user terminal to register to a database, so that the user terminal can obtain a right of using a spectrum provided by the database, and therefore the user terminal can use spectrum resources. The method comprises: sending a registration request message to an access point, so that the access point converts the format of the registration request message and forwards the converted registration request message to a database (S101); and receiving a registration response message sent by the access point (S102). The embodiments of the present invention enable a user terminal to register to a database.
