PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photography and display device and a photography and display method for performing subsidiary display upon performing photography so that a couple can enjoy their intimacy when reproducing the obtained photograph.SOLUTION: The photography and display device comprises: an imaging unit 2 for performing photoelectric conversion of a subject image and outputting image data; a display unit 8a for displaying the subject image on the basis of image data; a face detection unit 3 for detecting a part equivalent to a person's face on the basis of the image data; a face feature extraction unit 1b for extracting the features of the face part detected by the face detection unit 3; and a display control unit 8 for displaying a heart mark 26 or a draft mark 27 on a display unit 8a in consideration of the past history with respect to two persons' images determined to be identical persons by the face feature extraction unit 1b, and the number of the two persons' images taken on the same day. |
