The multi-section lid (10) is made of a paper material. A base portion (12) is provided with a cover plate (18) that is equipped with a lid collar (20). The lid collar is locked on an upper edge of the to-be-closed container (16) in the mounted state. A reinforcing ring (14) is provided on the radial outer side of the lid collar to surround the lid collar. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing multi-section lid.
