The present invention relates to a quantum dot and a light emitting device using the same and, more particularly, to a mixed metal oxide-quantum dot composite and a light emitting device using the same. The light emitting device according to the present invention is characterized by transforming light emitted by using a mixed metal oxide-quantum dot composite. As in the present invention, a quantum dot in which a mixed metal oxide surface protective layer is introduced on the surface thereof can minimize invasion of external materials such as oxygen and moisture so as to protect the light emitting characteristics of the quantum dot, thereby being used as a stable light emitting quantum dot material. Additionally, a mixed double oxide has a high optical transmission characteristic an in visible light region so as to be used as a light emitting device.
