The device has a generator for generating bubble screens (5), and an optical sensor (13) i.e. video camera, for detecting the position of the screens. A projector (9) projects images (10) on the screens. The sensor includes an infra-red ray emitter, and is arranged to detect presence and position of distinct elements e.g. light sources or persons, of the screens. A position calculator (14) determines the position of the screens and/or of the distinct elements from data collected by the camera. The projector is arranged to emit rays directly on the screens without intermediate reflection. An independent claim is also included for a method for projecting images on bubble screens.
