PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus with a highly accurate posture of a light guide body mounted.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus comprises an optical unit having image reading means and image formation means to form an image; and lighting means. The lighting means comprises a plurality of light emitters, a light guide body, and a housing member which is fixed to the optical unit and to which the light guide body is fixed. The light guide body comprises a boss. The boss of the light guide body is in contact with the housing member, while there is a gap between the light guide body and the housing member. A portion where the boss of the light guide body is in contact with the housing member is bonded by adhesive, and the light guide body and the housing member are bonded with the gap maintained. |
