PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discoloration tool for a thermochromic ink, which can discolor a certain range without damaging a surface to be written and is excellent in durability, and a writing instrument having the discoloration tool and a novel discoloration method.SOLUTION: A discoloration tool 10 for a thermochromic ink includes a space forming mechanism to form a closed space near the thermochromic ink, and gas in the closed space is compressed, and the thermochromic ink is discolored by using the gas whose temperature is raised by the compression. The space forming mechanism has a cylindrical cylinder 11 and a piston 13 arranged in the cylinder slidably, and the compression is achieved by slide movement of the piston 13. |
