PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for scarfing a metal by gas, capable of further improving scarfing performance when the surface of the metal is scarfed.SOLUTION: In a method for scarfing a metal by gas, when the surface of the metal is scarfed using gas, at least either oxygen molecules and electrons or oxygen negative ions are supplied to a portion of the metal to be oxidatively scarfed. Thus, reactivity of iron and oxygen is improved, and accordingly, the scarfing performance when the surface of the metal is scarfed is further improved. |
