PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunshade with joint arms offering a simple construction, definitive operation and easy production. SOLUTION: This is a folding type joint arm sunshade having two sets of joint arms 1 each comprising inner side and outer side arms 2 and 3, and each arm is journalized through a joint 4. The inner side arm 2 is attached through a tilt joint 7 which is swingable around a horizontal shaft. The tilt joint is equipped with a clutch 19 which blocks the horizontal rotation interlocked with the telescopic motion of the joint arm. Length of the inner and outer arms is selected in such a manner that a field tilt shaft 12, into which a drop portion 11 has been pulled, can be pushed in and the clutch be disengaged thereby permitting the swinging around the horizontal shaft by the disengage of clutch, a storage space is minimized, the clutch is fitted when the drop portion is pulled out and swinging becomes impossible, thereby maintaining an extended state.
