The system has a fixed displacement pump (3) delivering flow to a load. An additive pump (5) and a valve arrangement i.e. pressure governor (11), output load pressure (LS) to a hydraulic actuatable steering unit (1). The additive pump is inserted into the load. A valve piston is coupled with the fixed displacement pump and outputs pressure to a supply terminal (PL) of the hydraulic actuatable steering unit. A spring (23) and the additive pump are connected to the steering unit. A shuttle valve (29) is connected with the variable capacity pump and the load.
