PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air sterilization apparatus having a simple structure and, even if increasing an air sterilizing capacity, capable of providing a high heat exchange capacity and sterilization operation without enlarging the apparatus in an air heating sterilization means using ventilation heaters. SOLUTION: This air sterilization apparatus is provided with: a heating sterilization tube 1 having an inlet 2 for air to be processed at a center, and air flow vents 3L and 3R in the both sides; the ventilation heaters 4L and 4R provided in the heating sterilization tube 1 between the inlet 2 for air to be processed and the respective air vents 3L and 3R; and air flow control means 23, 27 and 29 supplying the heating sterilization tube 1 with air A1 to be processed from the inlet 2 for the air to be processed and supply outside air A2 from one and the other of the air flow vents 3L and 3R alternately, and after mixing and heating sterilization it, exhausting it from the other and one of the air flow vents 3R and 3L alternately as processed air A3, so that the air flow flowing from one of the air flow vents 3L and 3R to the other, and its inverse air flow are alternately generated in the heating sterilization tube 1 at a required period.
