The seal has a brush consisting of non-metallic textile insulators (4) that are supported on a stator or a rotor at an angle with respect to the side of the seal where the pressure is low. The textile insulators are inclined in direction of the flow at an angle in the range of 10-20 degrees. An upstream ring (6) and a downstream ring (8) are placed between an external envelope (10) and the textile insulators. An internal envelope (2) and the external envelope are C shaped. A helical spring (12) is placed at the centre of the internal envelope. |
