PURPOSE: A method for regenerating an ion exchange resin and a device for the same are provided to increase the separation efficiency of an ion exchange resin regenerating method based on multiple backwashing processes and to highly reduce the generation of cross contamination by preventing contaminated and regenerated ion exchange resins from mixing. CONSTITUTION: A method for regenerating an ion exchange resin includes a first backwashing process. The first backwashing process is divided into four steps according to flow rate. An ion exchange resin is successively and finely separated. The method includes a second backwashing process. The second backwashing process is divided into three steps according to flow rate. The ion exchange resin is successively and finely separated and stabilized. The method includes a step for reducing cross contamination. When a separated cation exchange resin is regenerated, back-washed, and transferred to a regenerated resin storage tower (400), a cation exchange resin remains in the lower part of a cation exchange resin regenerating tower (100) in order to prevent the generation of a contaminated anion exchange resin. |
