PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical element in which surface accuracy in a sub-scanning direction is secured, and provide the optical element.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an optical element that manufactures an optical element used for an optical scanner of an image formation device and collecting laser light scanned in a main scanning direction by molding the optical element with a mold, includes: a measurement step for measuring a surface of the optical element or the mold and obtaining the height of an error shape in an evaluation width in a sub-scanning direction equivalent to a luminous flux width of laser light; and a processing step for correcting and processing the mold so as to make the height of the error shape small on the basis of the measurement result of the measurement step. |
